Oaxaca glass edition

In Oaxaca, a glass studio transforms discarded bottles into vessels of light, guided by principles of circular design and local craftsmanship. Operating on alternative energy, the facility melts recycled glass—collected from surrounding communities—into mouth-blown objects whose subtle variations in color and shape tell their origin story. 

Each piece is handmade by artisans trained in rural communities, and many of the kilns are fueled by recovered cooking oil or bio-digesters, reinforcing a commitment to sustainability and resource renewal energy.  The resulting glassware bridges craft and ecology—offering light, functional vessels with a quiet presence that articulate how high design and environmental responsibility can coexist at the table.
